Women's Fiction

She Sins at Midnight

Thirty-two-year old Hollywood assistant, Lila Montgomery, discovers just how quickly life can do an about-face! Frustrated and fed-up with La La Land, Lila dreams of fully embracing her secret life as a trashy romance author when she receives an invitation to her fifteen-year high school class reunion. Soon, she feels like she’s living in an upside down tilt-a-whirl! Desperate for a change, she escapes home to the Midwest, meets the man of her dreams, gets sued by a famous starlet, and winds up on the cover of every trashy tabloid on the newsstand.

“She Sins at Midnight” is a hilarious adventure that will have you laughing out loud at the ridiculous and charming situations these characters become embroiled in. Like any good women’s novel, the heroine comes out on top, and the villain gets hers too.

The Reinvention of Mimi Finnegan

While she is valiantly attempting to shed a few extra pounds to alleviate the pressure on her foot, Mimi’s glamorous sisters decide to set her up with “Mr. Right,” Elliot Fielding. Mimi is not sure Elliot is the one for her. The uptight British novelist is the last person she can see herself with -- until he shows up at her office to research his latest book. By the end of the first week, Mimi strips out of her clothes and invites Elliot to “feast on the smorgasbord of her body.” Sadly, Elliot passes up the enticing invitation as he is on the verge of proposing to his long time girlfriend, Beatrice. The chase that ensues takes Mimi and Elliot to New York City and back. It has Elliot declaring his love for Mimi at the same time swearing he has to marry Beatrice. The chaos that ensues will make you laugh, groan, sympathize, and cheer Mimi on to victory!

Children’s Fiction:

Wilhelmina and the Watusi Wig Factory

Wilhelmina Snodgrass has just moved to Watusi, Texas from Illinois. She isn’t thrilled about this geographic change until she makes friends with the blue-haired girl down the street, Tomasina Andretti. With the help of three ghosts – Bella, Athena, and Aurelia -- Willy and Tommy set out on an adventure to help their old lady friend, Georgianna Carbunkle, reopen the wig factory in town that has been in her family for generations. Scrapes and mishaps occur, including becoming sworn enemies with Tiffany Peterson, the most popular girl in the seventh grade. Willy has her hair chopped off, discovers that Mrs. Carbunkle is really her long-lost relative, and falls for the amazingly gorgeous Jamie Armstrong. In the end, the factory opens on time (barely), and the girls are left with a new mystery to solve. We learn at the end of the story that Harvey Stingle, one of the factory’s employees, has been in cahoots with the three ghosts who are paramount to the story. The girls are now determined to find out how and why this quiet bookish man knows these spirits. “Who the Heck is Harvey Stingle?” is the title of the next Willy and Tommy adventure.

Who the Heck is Harvey Stingle?

In the second Willy and Tommy adventure, the girls find themselves time-traveling back to the late 1800’s in order to solve their next mystery. Not only do they find out who the heck Harvey Stingle is, but they also discover a hidden treasure that’s worth a fortune! In between time-travel adventures, Tiffany Petersen, Willy’s nemesis and Jamie Armstrong’s one-time girlfriend, continues to create problems. In spite of this, Willy and Jamie become closer than ever. At the end of the book, the girls struggle with how they should spend their new-found fortune which leads them to their scariest adventure yet. “Beware of the Basement” is the third book in the Willy and Tommy series.

Beware of the Basement

Willy and Tommy learn that the treasure they found in the last book (Who the Heck is Harvey Stingle?) is upsetting the delicate balance of life in Watusi. The treasure starts to mysteriously alter daily events as it struggles to find its way back to its origin on the island of Atlantis, through a tear in the fabric of time. Willy and Tommy discover this “opening in time” in the wig factory basement when a friend of theirs goes missing. In their most intriguing journey yet, the girls travel thousands of years into the past in order to bring peace back to their town and seal the tear forever. Unfortunately, they bring a part of history with them in the form of two copper wigs, which leads to the fourth book in the series, “Operation “W.i.G. C.H.eeS.e

Operation W.i.G. C.H.eeS.e

Willy and Tommy inadvertently bring back magic copper wigs from Atlantis. Unexpectedly, the wigs take on a life of their own and begin to steal money from the town’s people – and the girls don't know what to do about it! When they meet octogenarian Zachary Grimstein, at "The Watusi Senior Center," he uses the wigs, along with his magic shoes, to take them back in time to when he was a young man. Once he’s traveled back to his youth, Zach refuses to return the friends to the present. The only way the girls are able to return home is by going back to Atlantis to return their wigs, and then tricking Zach into giving up his power over them. The girls eventually return home safe and sound, but not without a startling discovery.

Two Months in Atlantis

After returning home to Watusi from Atlantis, Willy and Tommy start to have strange memories about what really happened to them while they were away. Instead of being gone for two days, they discover that they were on the Island for two months! Not only do they recall moving into the king’s palace, but they become friends with one princess and the arch enemy of another. They meet a mermaid, dolphins, and even discover that there is life on other planets. The exciting things they learn about the long extinct island, as well as the dangers they face in escaping, will leave your heart racing and your imagination on edge!

The Brethren

Willy and Tommy leave Atlantis with strict instructions to help The Brethren, a.k.a. The Atlantis Space Organization. Now that Atlantis has been wiped off the planet, The Brethren, who were traveling through outer space at the time, have no way of going home again. Willy and Tommy must wait for the travelers to contact them and then help them to find a new place in time to call home. During their adventure, the girls find out what fate befell the long ago Anasazi Indians and so much more!

The Brethren expected completion date: April 1, 2008.
